Analysis Endpoints

An Endpoint gives a Luau Analysis an HTTP URL that devices, services, and dashboards can call. The Analysis answers the request with JSON, an HTML page, text, or a redirect.

Get started

1. Turn it on: enable the Endpoint and choose who can call it.
2. Write the response: read the request and return what the caller needs.
3. Call it: test in Admin, call the URL, or use it from a Custom Dashboard.

Recipes

• Validate a Custom Dashboard form: check a user's input before saving it to their device.
• Receive a webhook: turn another system's JSON into device readings with one call.
• Serve a page with a form: publish a form and its thank-you page without hosting a website.
• Let a device fetch its configuration: give HTTP devices their settings when they ask.
• Export data as CSV: let a spreadsheet or BI tool pull recent readings.
• Run long jobs: return a job ID immediately, then let the caller check the result.
