Delete your TagoRUN account

To delete your TagoRUN account, use the TagoRUN app, a web browser, or email support@tago.io. You don't need the app or a sign-in to request deletion by email.

TagoRUN is the app and web portal by TagoIO that organizations use to give you access to their applications. Your account belongs to the organization that gave you access, and that organization decides how deletion requests are handled. See What happens next.

This page covers TagoRUN accounts. To delete the TagoIO account you use to build applications, see Deleting your account.

In the TagoRUN app

  1. Open the TagoRUN app and sign in.
  2. Tap Settings in the bottom bar.
  3. Tap the row with your name and Account and security.
  4. Tap the side panel icon at the top right. It opens Account Details.
  5. Tap Delete my account, then tap Delete my account again to confirm.

The app sends the request and signs you out. If the request fails, you see an error and stay signed in.

If you don't see Settings in the bottom bar, follow step 2 under In a web browser.

In a web browser

  1. Open your Run address and sign in. It looks like acme.tago.run, or it can be the organization's own domain.
  2. Select your name in the sidebar, then My account. If there's no sidebar, tap Account in the bottom bar.
  3. Select Account Details. If you only see a side panel icon at the top right, tap it.
  4. Select Delete my account, then select Delete my account again to confirm.

The request is sent and you're signed out. If the request fails, you see an error and stay signed in.

Labels can differ if your application uses another language or the organization renamed them.

By email

If you can't sign in or no longer have the app, email support@tago.io from the email address you sign in with. Include:

  • Your Run address, for example acme.tago.run or the organization's own domain. It's the address you open in your browser, or the one you entered when you first opened the app. If you don't know it, include the name of the organization that gave you access.
  • The email address you sign in with. If you can't send from that address anymore, say so in your email.

TagoIO forwards your request to the organization. You can also contact the organization directly.

What happens next

Depending on how the organization set this up, your account is deleted right away, or the request goes to the organization, which handles it itself or with its own automation. How long that takes depends on the organization. You're signed out after the request, but until your account is deleted you can sign in again as usual.

If you don't hear back, contact the organization or email support@tago.io.

Data that is deleted

When your account is deleted, these are removed:

  • Your account details: name, email address, phone number, company, time zone, language, password, two-factor authentication settings, preferences, answers to sign-up fields, and the agreements you accepted.
  • Your sign-in sessions and access tokens.
  • Settings saved for your account in the application.
  • Your AI chat history.

Data that is kept

  • Data in the organization's application. Device readings, records, files, and dashboards belong to the organization and stay under its control. Ask the organization if you want any of it removed.
  • Entries in the organization's audit log, the security record of changes to accounts. It keeps entries such as when your account was created, changed, or deleted. Earlier entries can include your email address. The entry for your deletion request doesn't include your name or email address.
  • Notifications sent to you, and the registration that lets your phone receive push notifications. Both are removed automatically after a set period.
  • Backups. Copies of your account details can remain in backups after your account is deleted, including backups the organization makes of its application. Ask the organization about removing them.

For organizations

If you manage a TagoRUN application, see Delete request process to choose how your application handles deletion requests.
